送り盆、今朝、お送りしました。あっという間のお盆さん。不思議なもので、毎年何かしら、口伝では伝えきれていない歴史的史実を教えてくれます。江戸時代は関西、特に、高野山との行き来が多く、それ以前は何故か和歌山県の熊野本宮大社との行き来が多かった様です。

I sent you this morning. Obon in a flash. It’s a mysterious thing, and every year it teaches me some historical facts that can’t be told by word of mouth. During the Edo period, there were many comings and going from Kansai, especially Mt. Koya, and before that, for some reason, there was a lot of going back and forth with Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine in Wakayama Prefecture.
